There is no conscience.
From tonight’s debate (transcript here):
McCAIN: Senator Obama has asked for nearly $1 billion in pork-barrel earmark projects, including $3 million for an overhead projector in a planetarium in his hometown.
Surely someone in his coterie knows that the intricate and complicated device that illuminates the Adler Planetarium’s Sky Theater is not an “overhead projector.”
To call it that is inflammatory and anti-scientific.
The only reason that McCain would keep repeating such nonsense (see my previous post on this) is because he has been told that many viewers will not know the truth…and will assume validity and add this data point to the collection of flapdoodle that percolates through uncritical minds on the way to voting booths.
Karl Rove is in the kitchen somewhere….
